How to request Proof of Ownership (PoO) from your bank

Sometimes, we require a document from your bank to verify your ownership of a payment method (either a card or an account). A Proof of Ownership is a free-format letter provided by your bank, even if you no longer have the physical card.

To streamline this process and minimise inconvenience, we have prepared a ready-to-use email template.

Email template to your bank:

Subject: Request for Proof of Card Ownership

Dear [Bank name],

I am writing to request an official document that confirms my ownership of a debit card previously linked to my account. Pink Casino requires this document for account verification purposes to confirm that I am the sole owner of the expired/lost card.

Please provide an official letter or statement that includes the following details:

  • My full name
  • Your bank’s name or logo
  • The first 6 and last 4 digits of the card
  • The card’s expiry date

The document should also meet these criteria:

  • Issued within the last 3 months
  • On official bank letterhead or as an official digital statement

Thank you for your assistance.
